WORK EXPERIENCE
Below is a brief explanation emphasizing current work activities.
My project with OTIS Elevator and their client started in June 2020. My major role is to facilitate and produce current functionalities of legacy architectural framework integrating IDMS/ADSO/COBOL languages along with documenting all business functions and edits.
If provided with the opportunity I’m interested in working with DB2 environment. Last 20 years in North America, worked on positions including DBA, Business Analyst, ERP Developer and Mainframe Application Developers. I was involved in a team to convert three legacy systems to ERP in Agriliance (mentioned below), also supported conversion of legacy system to SQL based applications in Service Alberta (mentioned below).
Current tasks include reporting to Legacy & ERP Managers. Besides working with Solutions Architect/Systems Analyst and Developer with expertise in IDMS/ADSO environment.

Solutions Architect/Systems Analyst at OTIS Elevator Client (June 2020 to current).
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate technical framework through documentation. Further the documented architectural functions and provide in depth functionality of data flows for business processes.
- Weekly presented PowerPoint based documentations of dataflow, business functions and edits along with collected information & reported documentation for business processes to the Mainframe & ERP managers and the team.
- Review existing dialog’s and COBOL programs logic to extract business processes which was presented and briefly outlined to the project team. Mr. Hamid enhanced and maintained running applications on mainframe and designed and developed new user requirements. He also provided production support for online and batch processing. He provided daily monitoring of QA imports and dealt with any issues that arose. He documented issues in Remedy, created internal tasks for development work, and created project requests for work, and sought approval prior to commitment.

Mr. Hamid worked on daily high priority to analyze through the IDMS-OPER online transactions. He was responsible for deleting the registry, provided that the task took longer in the system. Land Title Production user support for online applications, watching of SQL and IDMS project, since all IDMS online transactions updated to SQL.
Development and maintenance of applications, including both the batch and online, backed up DBA and PM when needed.

Mr. Hamid was involved in upgrading JDE to a newer version with additional reports for all modules that were priority for the financial reports. He tested the new environment, created test cases and presented the issues in weekly meetings.

- Performed system and data analysis following the SDLC to create JDE Contractor application systems; project lead, development screen in JDE 8.11 equivalent to green screen (AS400), implemented Contractor Application and new table help screens.
